Tad Dolbier is the CEO of Tar Heel Capital Corporation, based in Boone North Carolina and operating 87 Wendy’s Restaurants in NC, SC and GA. He began his career with Tar Heel Capital after graduating from the University of Florida in 1980. He currently serves on the Wendy’s PAC Advisory Board as well as having served as President of Marketing Coops in three different DMA’s in the Carolinas. He also serves on the Government Affairs Committee for the NC Restaurant and Lodging Association.

Tar Heel Capital has been the recipient of the Wendy Award and Founders Award for their long-term leadership in the system and excellence in operations, as well as the Jim Near Legacy Award for their passion for people.

Tad lives in Wilkesboro, NC with his wife, Terry. They have two daughters and 4 grandchildren.
