David started his career with Wendy’s in 1985 as a General Manager. In 1990 he joined Wendy’s Corporate Denver in operations before returning to the franchise side in 1996 as a multi-unit manager. David became a Partner and the operator of Wend Colorado Partnership in 1998 growing the franchise to 10 restaurants over the next several years.

In 2015, he partnered with Erik Moosa to form a new Wendy’s franchise group AKSAN UNITED FORTUNE, INC., and bought out his former business partners so they could retire after 23 great years.

David currently has ownership in 27 restaurants in Colorado and serves as VP and Chief Operations Officer. During his years with Wendy’s, he has served the Denver DMA as president since 2000. He was an elected WNAP Trustee from 2013 to 2019 and served as the finance committee chair during his last year as Trustee. David also served on the CFO forum for four years.
