Samantha Johnston

Sr. Director – Human Capital

As Sr. Director--Human Capital, Samantha drives strategies that support the co-op's overall business plan and strategic direction, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is passionate about equipping people with knowledge, skills, and resources so they can be effective, grow the business, and grow their careers.

Samantha came to QSCC in 2021 from the human resources function with The Wendy’s Company. She has held roles in talent acquisition, field HR, and corporate HR, and most recently as the leader of corporate learning & development initiatives. She is passionate about leadership skill and people manager development, recognizing that “leader” is not defined by your place on an organizational chart, rather finding (and creating) opportunities to lead where you are.

Samantha holds a BS in Hospitality Management from The Ohio State University and a Master of Human Resource Management degree from OSU’s Fisher College of Business. She and her husband Matt enjoy traveling with their kickball team and spending time with family.
